The best way to join is to first come to one of our meetings as a guest. There is no pressure for a guest to speak, unless you want to. You are welcome to call ahead, or just show. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

Below are some quotes on benefits from our members:

Several years ago a co-worker shared his enthusiasm toward Toastmasters with me- he loved the opportunity to learn to speak in a low-risk, encouraging environment and really enjoyed the contact with a wide range of professionals in the club. Based on his testimonial, I decided to join TM’s and look at it as the single most important career related decision I have made over my 27 year career.

Through the abilities and confidence I gained in Toastmasters, I was provided many opportunities to speak professionally and, in fact, was recruited by the VP of my current firm based on his impressions after hearing me speak at a conference! I cannot say enough good things about TM’s and would recommend it to anyone interested in self-improvement and career advancement.

Paragraph?  I could write a book on how Toastmasters has benefited me!  From the first time I stood up to try my will at Table Topics and ended up instead hyperventilating for 33 seconds - to today where I have been promoted in my job, asked to MC three different events with over 200 people in attendance at each, and met so many wonderful Toastmasters in this journey.

This program continues to amaze me.  It is my “calgon-take-me-away” time from my stressful day.  No matter how stressed or downtrodden I may be, attending a Toastmasters meeting surges me with energy and always puts a smile on my face.  Every meeting is chock full of fun and you don’t even realize you are bettering your communication, listening & leadership skills while simultaneously learning new information from speeches given and making new friends and a phenomenal support network.

In a paragraph, I can’t even list all the ways it has helped me to grow!

What Toastmasters means to me….

Prior to joining toastmasters, I viewed speaking in front of others as a dreaded task. I now see it as an opportunity.

When I had a presentation required for work, I became very anxious and didn’t know where to start in terms of organizing my message or time allotment.  I fumbled, stumbled and mumbled my way through and did not engage the audience.

After my first ten speeches, with some very good feedback from fellow members, I learned how much time it took to prepare and practice a speech so that I can really nail the message. I also learned about time, and how to focus on gestures, vocal variety, eye contact and all the other details necessary to capture and hold the attention of every person in the room.
